Lyn-CAG will begin its 5th Annual FREE Tax Preparation Program beginning February 6 through the end of May 2013 for residents who live in the cities of Bedford and Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell. This program is ideal for college/university students in the Central Virginia area.
There are no special requirements or criteria to receive this FREE service.

MUST CALL IN ADVANCE TO SET-UP AN APPOINTMENT
WITH ONE OF OUR IRS CERTIFIED TAX PREPARERS.
Lyn-CAG sponsors two (2) locations for this service:
- The Lyn-CAG 926 Commerce Street facility — For an appointment call (434) 401-9306. The receptionist will assist you with a date and time. We offer day and evening hours.
- Lyn-CAG’s second site is housed at the United Way of Central Virginia building located at 1010 Miller Park Square. For an appointment simply call 2-1-1 and the “211 Operator” will arrange your appointment date and time.
Please note that we will make arrangements to provide these services to residents of
Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities.
Lyn-CAG and the Central Virginia Asset Building Coalition have formed a partnership to provide outreach, education and free income tax preparation services to those who may be eligible for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Our program staff will provide low-income individuals and families access to the Federal EITC and other tax credits information.
