Housing rehabilitation assistance: tasks appropriate to ability such as painting, installing vinyl siding, building porches, installing railings, light construction and landscaping.
Transportation providers: transport residents of homeless shelter to various appointments to apply for work, obtain unemployment benefits, medical care or social services benefits.
Classroom helpers, bus monitors/drivers, and cafeteria workers are needed for the Head Start Program – a federally funded pre-school program for children of primarily low-income families.
Tutors, mentors, chaperones, craft and recreation leaders, food pantry and clothes closet inventory and maintenance.
Federal and state tax preparation, instruction in real estate purchasing, instruction in finance literacy and budgeting.
